Add a fully functional Recycle Bin to the Taskbar

You may want to create a fully functional Recycle Bin in the Taskbar. In case of multitasking when you have a lot of Windows open on your computer, accessing the recycle bin can be difficult sometimes. Use this quick tip to create a fully functional recycle bin in your taskbar.

Follow the steps to create a fully functional Recycle Bin in the Taskbar.

Steps to create a fully functional Recycle Bin in the Taskbar

1. First of all Right-click on the taskbar, and unlock the taskbar by unchecking the Lock the taskbar option. Go to Toolbars->New Toolbar from the context menu.

2. Now, you will be asked to select a folder. Type the following address in the Folder text box:-

%appdata%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch

Click on Select Folder option.

3. Now, you will notice that the Quick launch toolbar is all the way over on the right in the taskbar. Click on the dotted lines and then drag the Quick launch toolbar to the left to stretch it. Right-click on the dotted lines or on the free space of Quick launch toolbar and uncheckShow Text and Show Title options from the context menu to get rid of the text.

4. Again, Right-click on the dotted lines or on the free space of Quick launch toolbar and go to View from the context menu and select Large Icons.

Now the Quick launch toolbar will look like following:-

5. Next, Drag the Recycle Bin icon from the desktop onto the Quick launch toolbar.

6. You are done. Now, you may keep or delete the other shortcuts which are in the Quick launch toolbar.
