Problem - Accessing FTP links on Ocean Color website using Internet Explorer will indefinitely showing animated search icon or lock up my windows system...Solution - This problem is caused by IE on Windows using Active Mode FTP as it's default. This can cause a bit of connection issue especially if you have your own personal firewall or VLAN. This problem shouldn't come up on IE for Mac or Netscape/Mozilla users as they all use Passive Mode as default method.This problem can be solved by forcing IE to use Passive Mode.1. Run IE, pull down Toolsmenu and select Internet Options.2. Click on Advanced tab.3. Under Browsing put a check mark on Use Passive FTP (for firewall and DSL modem compatibility).4. Click OK5. Quit IE and restart IE.
